heads up! change to gestational diabetes test! no more 1 hour!

Just a heads up so y'all don't get stuck short on reading material like I did this morning...apparently guidelines changed this week and there is no more one hour test and then a 3 hour if you fail. Now its all a 2 hour test and the standards make it easier to be diagnosed with GD according to my OB. Not a nice surprise at 830am when I was already hungry and didn't have a long enough book! Just wanted everyone to know so they brought appropriate reading material, put enough money in the meter, etc.

I think that is just with your doctor, there has always the one,two,and three hour test just depends witch one your doctor wants to give you

Yep my doctor told me about the new guidlines as well..thats why I had to take the two hour after i had already passed my 1 hr.

I had the two hour test as well :-W thought I was going to be all productive and brought my work laptop, which ran out of power thirty minutes into the test! Fail... Lol

I took the one hr only and it was perfect
