6 week old question..?

How much should a 6 week old be eating? I pump my breast milk and feed her in a bottle. Her pediatrician said 18-20 oz per day minimum and she eats about 23 oz a day,has dirty diapers often so I think she's eating enough. She weighs about 8 pounds at this point (she was 7lbs 8oz at last apt on 9-15). I read somewhere a 9 pound baby should eat 6oz at a time and she still only eats 3-4 oz at a time. Should she be able to handle more then that? Thanks ladies

If she isn't crying for more or spitting up a lot than she's fine

@kayleigh27 ok..thanks! I kinda figured that's the case but I second guess myself cause I'm a ftm and I don't want to starve her lol. She's pretty content tho (snoring lightly as I write this after 4 oz). Thanks

Yeah my baby came 9+ lbs and she only drank 2 oz at a time. She's 4 months weighs 16 lbs and drinking 6-7 oz. My friend had a 6 lb baby and at 3 wks he was drinking 5 oz at a time so it just depends on the baby
