does my baby have reflux??

My baby hasn't been sleeping like she usually does, only sleeps for about an hour or two. (Usually 3 or 4) She will only eat a little bit at a time. She only likes to be up right, and when we lay her down on her back she screams like she's in pain. She's been having wet burps. Has been crying way more than usual. Only wants to be held by me. Its just gotten way worse today. The past few days she's had projectile vomiting and some spit up. Is this reflux....or just normal baby stuff?

  • oh and she has hiccups a lot.
  • Oh sounds like reflux take her to her dr
  • Sounds like it to me too.. id talk to her dr. She sounds like she is uncomfortable if she cant lay on her back
  • Could be!!!
  • @lily_glz @kritten_octoberbby @fate I'm taking her to the doctor tomorrow.

@babyluv11 What do you do to get rid of the reflux? And what does the doctor do, to see if it is reflux?
  • Hiccups are a sign of reflux? My son gets them like 2-3x a day. He won't sleep in his bassinet anymore and he eats like every 2-3 hrs, only sleeps in this rocker I have that keeps him upright. He spits very little though, he's breast fed. I wonder about my baby too!
  • @mommyof3tobe I didn't think hiccups were a sign of hiccups either...but i looked it up online and it is. It also says that babies may only have reflux to a small degree or some babies get it bad. I'm just taking my daughter to the doctors cause she wasn't like this a few weeks ago.
  • How did the dr go?
  • My son is 8weeks and has "silent" reflux ...he doesn't spit up but sticks his tongue out like he's gagging ...n he straighten legs and arches back...dr put him on low dose of zantac. How's urs going now?
  • @kritten_octoberbby @augustbaby I talked to a nurse today...and she doesn't think its reflux. She thinks it was the formula she was on. She was on gerber good start gentle. Apparently a lot of moms were calling saying the same thing I was and it was just the formula...the hospital that I delivered at used the gerber formula so I just kept her on that one. But now she's on Enfamil Gentle Ease. So were going to try that for 3 days...and if she doesn't do better were going to have to take her to the doctor.
  • Could be colic my son did that changed him to similac sensitive worked fine but start by mixing the old and new formula for a day to get the stomach adjusted any time they go to new formula they have to get adjusted make sure you use gas drops as welll
  • Oh ok. Well thats better than reflux.. i breast feed but i use enfamil newborn as a back up..
