bleeding after being checked

I had my 37 week appointment today and my dr checked me again, only this time after she checked me I stood up and a huge blood clot fell onto the ground. I asked the nurse and she said it was normal to bleed after having your cervix checked but I am kind of worried because I am bleeding alot! More than I feel I should be...plus I had a high blood pressure today and my blood pressure has always been normal...!

That has never happened to me but i would feel like u are...what did the nurse say? Did u call the doctor?

The nurse said not to worry that its totally normal. I can't help but worry still

They told me unless I'm bleeding enough to fill a pad in an hour its ok.

Yeah I guess I'll just wait a few hours and see if it keeps up..

Weird that they tell u its normal because after every appoinment they tell me if I have any bleeding to call them or l&d...is the bleeding bright red and how far along are u

They must hurt your cervix ( are you in pain?

I bled after getting checked but not a lot by any means. my doctor said it was normal.

Its more dark red...there's been 2 clots that I've seen...yeah the nurse said it was normal but she only said a little bleeding is normal..

No I'm not in pain it hurt when she checked me though.

Mine was bright red for the first hour and then was dark like old blood. The Next day I started seeing chunks of my mucous plug mixed with the blood.

How I said I think she hurt your cervix ( if you think something is wrong go to l&d probably its just for now

I bled after my 37 week appointment too. That night had my bloody show. That was a Thursday, and had my Houston on Monday morning.

I just read about this in "What to Expect when you're expecting" last night! Normal it said!
