question to all the mommys that have had an abnormal pap smear

So I had an abnormal pap smear and today in my 6 wk pp check up they said they have to do me a test before I can get my iud bc. I just can't remember the name of the test they're gonna do. Anybody have a clue???

    Well my past abnormal paps have been for hpv but since it's post partum it's checking on what abnormal cells you have to make sure it's not cancer which most likely you are fine. It's common for an abnormal after birth.

    They are probably going to do a colposcopy to examine the cells under a microscope. You will be fine, momma. It feels about the same as a pap. If they see any abnormalities, they might take a little scraping of them to biopsy. Paps can be inaccurate at 6 wk check up, so don't worry too much! Good luck!
