Help breastfeedin to bottle

I've been completely breastfeedin for 6 weeks. I'm tryin to transition him to bottles cuz I have to go back to work next week. The first day he took it jus fine. The next day he took it fine but it was leakin so I tool it our his mouth to tighten it. He cried an ever since I been havin trouble gettin him to take it. He cries st the sight of a bottle. But if u keep puttin it n there eventually he'll take it for awhile then start cryin again. Idk wat to do. He has to take a bottle. Pls help. I'm scared he will starve when I have to leave him.

I have a breast fed baby too. Have you tried dr browns bottles? He lives them

My kids never took the bottle from me... they look like u know I only drink from the tap... but for my mother they would take the bottle fine I use playtex nurser

he will take it if he is really hungry. i bf too but the best thing u should have done is bf then give him bottle. that is recommended.

@moroccanmexicanbaby yea I decided to try that an he took it but the problem is I'm not gon b here to bf then give him a bottle. He had to learn to take it on his own.

good luck! mine wont take a bottle! she will cry for an hour and a half and still not take it!! mines almost 4 months

he will take the bottle. just buy the right nipple cuz It does matter.

My babygirl is 6weeks old and hates bottles. But my mom bought me a BREASTFLOW bottle and she actually is starting to take it when my mom feeds it to her,not when my boobs are near,though:) The breastflow bottle has an inner nipple that baby can control like a real nipple. Goodluck and keep trying,I know I am:)

I use the breastflow bottles so my hubby can feed the baby if I pump and my baby takes them fine :-) she's just 2 weeks and nurses most of the time but doesn't seem to mind having a bottle occasionally. It hasn't caused any nipple confusion or problems with her latching. Best bottles ever!

My daughter was the sane way until I found a bottle she liked. I would suggest trying different ones and different nepple speeds. I used the breastflow bottles when I was breastfeeding and she had no problem with them.

He wont starve. He'll give in when he realiezes its all he is gonna get while you're at work.
