Has anyone had a soft cervix and if so what did it mean?

Im curious, if anyone has gone through this or is currently going through it. What did their Dr. tell them it meant and what precautionary measures to take? I have an appt. next week so this will be on my list of questions to ask but I just want to hear other peoples experience. Thanks

How far a long are you? Soft cervix normally means your body is getting ready to dialated and go into labor. That is what I was told and came to understand but your cervix could be softing for weeks or it could go really fast.

Its a good thing your baby getting ready for labor!! Only good if your at least 37wks though. ;-)
