Newborn sleeping too much?

My 5 day old sleeps 21 hours a day, there is no waking her to feed as she falls right back asleep within seconds, she sleeps 4 to 6 hours at a time and when she does finally wake up she nurses ok. I've tried using a bottle with breastmilk and she still sleeps, is this normal? I think i'm getting an ulcer from worrying about this and if she's getting enough to eat...

@mschop thank you, my mom has me freaking out because she isn't eating every 2 hours

My son is 12 days and he's getting up every 2 hours now. Enjoy it while you can lol

My daughter sleeps all day also n wake up for about 3 hrs aday.

Thank you @mschop @happymommyof2 , @mrsthompson34 has she been to the dr yet? She's gaining enough weight and everything? My doctors appt isn't until wednesday

Yes we went to the doc last tue, my baby will b 3 weeks on tuesday. She sleeps alot & doc & ppl at wic says its perfectly normal right now. She still eats good

@mrsthompson34 thats good! Ok, I have so many questions to ask my wic lady on tuesday and hopefully I can get a pump, this manuel pumping is for the birds

I have my own medela pump but it only does one breast at a time so the lend me a pump that does both breasts n its not nosey at all. I get 4oz in less then 15 min my baby wont latch on so they lend me one of those 250 dollar pumps lol but I also give her enfamil so ima stock up on enfamil from wic n keep pumpin n freezing
