I'm 4 weeks pp now, and just tried having sex with my husband for the first time since baby... I had an episiotomy but everything seems to be healed. Sex didn't feel right though... It was uncomfortable and I feel like I'm super loose now. It was so awful I started crying after about a minute and had to stop. Hubby insists it felt good to him still... But it was so weird.

Does this get better?? When does it ever feel normal again? I've been doing kegels like crazy... I'm so scared my vagina is permanently ruined. Help!

Idk when it will feel normal but they tell ya to wait 6wks for a reason lol so maybe in a few more weeks?! You also had an episiotomy which I'm sure doesn't help the situation... Give it some time, I'm sure it'll get better!

I had an episiotomy too and I'm soooo nervous to have sex again. I'm so afraid it will hurt. I'm only 6 days pp though. I'm insisting waiting the 6 weeks because I don't want to mess anything up down there.

I didnt have an epis but i tore sideways and dont have stitches. Im 3 wks pp and terrified sex will tear me more or hurt like hell

I had a small labial tear and still so scared am 17 days pp and starting to feel like i want sex but rather nervous lol

@stbmilitarybrat my dr said 4wks. And that's when I had my pp check, so maybe her Dr said the same?

Keep doing the kegels. It will get better. Promise! I just had my 3rd baby and sex feels right.. just give it some time

@blessedbe_x3 yeah, my doc said between 4-6 weeks was ok depending how I felt and how things were healing. Thanks for the encouragement!! I hope you are right, I'm just afraid and impatient.:-)

I'm 18 days pp and had sex 3 times. first time hurt second time was really good but third hurt again. i think if you are nervous when you do it it is going to hurt. just relax and enjoy and go slow!!
