what are the steps for a first time mom?

Well I'm testing tomorrow. Af was due yesterday or today (I'm never really sure) but i have no PMS cramps like i do right before af. .. so. . My question. I test tomorrow. . Assuming its BFP (fx) do i call a dr in the phone book?? Now.. i just found out db doesn't have insurance. ....hmmm. so who do i call? What do i say? Im so lost in a new state with no family here

    First take the test and if it is positive then call and set up interview appointments with different doctors which dont cost anything to do. Then fine your local socal service or public health office and apply for state insurance they will either have you come in and help you fill out the application or you can pick it up and fill it out yourself. In most cases if you are pregnant they can issue you a temp card.

    I did exactly what @baby4ontheway suggested, except for the interview appointments. I went to a birth and family clinic, same one my mom went to when she had my little brother. I got on dshs medical, food stamps, and WIC. The last two help with buying food.
