Every one has different opinions about this but I was given cereal at 2 weeks and I gave my son cereal at 2 weeks and if everything go as plan with my little girl, she will be gettin cereal at 2 weeks as well.
^^^i agree, we gave my nephew cereal at 3wks and he's 4 now and fine. My baby girl is 2wks I put a lil in her bedtime bottle so she can sleep longer, she's fine, no constipation or nothing...it depends on the baby!
Are you breastfeeding or formula feeding? You may already know this, but breastfed babies eat SO FREAKING MUCH. Its because it digests faster than formula. And cluster feeding is also very common.
Doctors do "prescribe" cereal at early ages for mild to moderate reflux simply because its harder to throw up, so obviously its not going to kill your kid. Theres some back and forth about whether introducing foods early results in allergies, but theres really no conclusive evidence either way.
Contrary to popular opinion, solids dont make babies sleep through the night.
In the end, its up to you as the parent. Id just give your pediatrician a heads up, and start the cereal out really really thin.
