I got checked on Wednesday and I was 2cm dialated. I don't really feel anything just pressure down there wen I get in and out of bed or get up from laying down how long will I be at 2cm for?
No ones knows how long you'll be at 2cm. I was at 2cm for three weeks, was checked on Monday still at a 2, and gave birth two days later. How thin/effaced are you? What station is your baby at? (Station is how low your baby is) The random cramps are probably braxton hicks. I had random cramping for a couple of weeks. They aren't considered contractions until they are timeable and remain consistant for a couple of hours and begin to grow in intensity. Peeing a lot is normal, sounds like your baby may have dropped some and is putting pressure on your bladder. If you feel the need to pee and nothing comes out you can kind of lift the baby up and that will relieve some blockage from the baby so you can pee
All my doctor told me was that I'm 2cm dialated and that my stomach dropped a lot and should feel lots of pressure down there but I only feel a little moat of the pressure I feel is in my hips. this is my first so I don't really know wat to expect.
How far along are yo? You sound similar to me, i am 37an2. But the specialist at hospital says i could go any day, nothing seems consistent tho and its really hard to get out of bed or move but mostly ok sitting,
I was 2cm & 70% effaced for 3 weeks before I had to be induced. Sadly, dilating and even mild contractions are no guarantee that labor is inevitable. I'm not saying you shouldn't stay positive, but don't get hung up on a date as baby will come in his/her own time. As soon as I heard 2cms, I became attached to my due date...it came & went and I felt like a failure when in all honesty, I wasn't. I hope you deliver by your due date, but if not, it's ok too. I got checked at 36 weeks and was 2cm dilated. Every week I went back I was hopeful for more dilation but I have stayed 2 cm for a month and almost another week. My due date was Monday and I am still pregnant. Like @misskristin said don't get hung up on your due date. You could be dilated to 2 forever. I hope your pregnancy is different than now! Cause going over makes you so miserable.
