  • Are you currently pregnant or did you just have your baby? I was told by a couple people to take and basically douche with water and perrocide (?) Sp. I didn't do it though. BC after taking the meds I was better.
  • Duh I just noticed you put it under pp. Sorry... what it could be is now a yeast infection. With those kinds of meds they take all the good bacteria away. Try eating some live active culture yogurt and if that doesn't help I'd call your Doctor back. I had to take flagyl as well and as soon as I was done taking it, it helped but I still had a lot of discharge so I called my doc and they gave me meds for a yeast infection even though I didn't feel I had one. I never ever get yeast infections but I'm completely fine now. Try that or I'd call your doctor back.
  • I had the same thing and they prescribed me Clyndamicin (sp) because I'm breastfeeding. It was a cream I had to insert vaginally for 7 days. It worked well. I assumed the infection came from wearing pads for like 6 wks straight lol
  • @Mommyy2Be have you had sex since you took the meds?
  • No I Have Been Bleeding For A Month & A Week & I Stopped Taking The Flagyl Bcus I Felt Like It Wasnt Working I Still Have 3 Pills Left & I Didnt Know Yeast Infections Give Yu An Odor
  • You should never stop taking your medication. That's why it came back. You're gonna have to start over.
  • Da same thing happened to me!! I tried the medicine, douchin, dem vaginal washes,... Nothing has helped... It's sickening... And dis odor is quite embarrassing might I add... It makes me so self-concious (sp) when I'm around alot of ppl...
  • I Know Right Im The Exact Same Way

  • Me too and it caused me to mc I'm currently on the meds but the smell is still there uuuuuuggggghhhhh its so nasty
  • Tell Me About It, Im So Scared Of Other People Talking About Me
  • When you stop taking meds out allows the bacteria or yeast or whatever you are taking it for to continue to grow....so although you may feel better the meds still need to work it's magic....but dont try to self diagnose yourself...call your dr and he can culture you and figure out what it is...Good Luck
  • I'm sure the smell isn't strong enough for others to smell.....

If the bacterial infection is Bacterial Vaginosis then I will pray for you. That smell is no joke. Its like a rancid fish odor that will not go away that easy. People do smell it and talk about you like you dont wash, its embarrassing! I used to hate sitting around people because when I got up the odor would hit you. I used to be prone to bv. The cause would be from sex. If I was with a guy who was with other females I would ALWAYS find out 'cause like clock work I would get it. This is whether they used a condom or not. So when I met df I told him about it and how I would know hes cheating...lol when we first met and were just dating (nothing serious) he decided to "venture off" sure enough I got it and he confessed days later. Since then Ive been bv free! (I sound like a damn commercial) Im not saying this is your cause but this is what happened to me. Hopefully you get rid of it soon.
Heres a tip: I cant take the pills the dr prescribe (the bitterness makes me throw them back up) so after much research and speaking to other women they recommended inserting one pill vaginally. I know it sounds crazy but it worked for me. If I took it orally it would ALWAYS come back but if I inserted it vaginally, it stayed away. Im not sure if it would be good now since you had a baby not too long ago tho. HTH
  • O yeah and this is something that came out of nowhere. It wasnt like I grew up having it. Dont go to the dr's thinking they can help either. This is one thing dr's are dumb to. I would constantly get it, and go to my dr and he would say the pills should work and would just prescribe me more. I even went to other dr's and none of them had answers as to why it was happening. So I was forced to do my own research and find a "cure". I pray this isnt the case for you though. Hopefully its just a mild case.
