  • Smoking can cause your babys lungs not to function normally, & is often a cause for premature birth, a smaller baby, & they can be born w/asthma. It's not good to smoke, or even be around it while pregnant. My bf completely stopped when he found out I was prego because we want a healthy baby. Just think of your baby. Good luck ;)
  • Im also trying to quit and give you props for trying many women smoke and have perfectly healthy babies not condoning it but stress is also bad so keeps up the effort and good luck
  • I went from 20 a day to 20 a week now obviously would be better if we stopped altogether but it is hard I think ill be able to stop fully when I see baby on u.s my midwife said cos i smoke less then 10 a day i don't need referring to something else not sure what
  • I know a couple of girls that done that n her baby was ok just asthma or was a tiny baby. Take ur prenatal pills, n eat right
  • I smoked n when I found out I was preg Iquit that day u will b surprised how easy it is BC ur doing it for your child who btw doesn't have the choice to smoke or not n I just feel like it shouldn't b your choice to make. You can do it trust me after the first three days you won't even really crave it and if u do it,only takes 15 minutes to get over the craving so distract yourself u can do it you don't want ur baby to have a life of health problems if ur feeling guilty then its probably not the right choice I'm not tryinng to b mean just trying to help u realize that u are a strong woman who can do it good luck :)
  • I used to smoke that much, but I've been lucky enough to quit cold turkey the moment I found out I was pregnant. I know it's hard, but quitting is the best for the baby. I mean, if your child has asthma later in life and you didn't smoke while pregnant... at least it won't be on your conscience. That's the way I view it at least. Even if you just cut back little by little. You can do it! I wish you the best and good luck! :)
  • I'm going through the same thing. I saw my midwife today and because I'm stressed and low age just asked me to cut down and not give up completely as that would stress me more. Don't be hard on yourself, I smoked with both of my daughters although I did cut right down and they were both nigh on 8llbs and are super healthy x take it one day at a time.
  • My mum craved cigs with me lol i was her first baby weighed 8lb 9oz 1 hour labour, and i was fine not saying its ok like but she smoked with 2nd n 4th baby both good weights fast labours never smoked with 3rd or drunk or had caffiene had 29 hour labour and she was 6 weeks early to n had a lot of complications
