leaving baby support..

edited November 2011 in Babies
So I work only 3 days a week for about 5 to 8 hours each shift and my mom is the one who always watches him so I feel better about leaving him but my question is how do I get over the intense guilt feeling I feel when I leave him? And because I leave him when I work I feel like I can't leave him any other time to have me time to work out or do anything cause I just feel like I am abandoning him and not being a good mom but everyone keeps telling me I need to take care of myself in order to be the best mom I can be. So any advice or support from other moms about how to deal with the guilty feelings would be much appreciated :)

  • My daughter is 7 weeks. I have never been without her. My friends tell me that time will make it easier. I hope I don't break down the first time I leave her. :(
  • @2BeForgotten he is 11already weeks old.. what r things I can try and tell myself to make it easier .. I feel like leaving him will ruin the mommy bond..

  • Your obviously trying to do the right thing by him by working to earn money to provide for him. Better you work a little and huge him everything he needs than not work and have to miss out on things. Distance makes the heart grow fonder, a little time away always makes me really appreciate the time I do have with my kids
