Most schools do that. I was born sept 2 and had to. My ex was born Sept 3 and had to and we went to different. My son will go through the same thing. He was born Sept 7

Yea it depends on the school district. My bday is Oct 9th and I started kindergarten when I was 4, then turned 5 that Oct. But my sis was born in Dec and had to wait.

In the UK she would as the cut off is Aug 31st. I was born Aug 31 1989 so I was the youngest in the year, my friend was born Sept 1st 1988 he was the oldest in the year.
