Baby cough and cold type meds..

My lil man is 4 months old and is starting to get a lil cold I think, he has a stuffy yet runny nose and a slight congested sounding cough.. I don't want to give him meds if I dont have to.. He has his 4 month appt on friday and I plan on asking his doc about it but what I'm wondering is what kind of cold type meds do you use or plan on using when you need to for your lil one?

There aren't any meds for babies. I think cold meds start for 12 month olds or older.
What you can do is
Buy a humidifire for your babys bed room
Use saline nose drops and suction any boogies out
Take baby into the bathroom, close the door and run the shower hot to steam the room up and thump the back like you're burping baby to help loosen the phlem
Have your baby sleep propped up if possible like in the swing or put a pillow under the crib matress to help elevate it

Also, check temps through out the day if you suspect a fever and call your dr if it hits 100.4

Maybe try sum vicks rub on his chest

You can rub some vicks on his chest my grandma used to put a mint candy in the bottle in some warm water that's something I picked up but only do what you feel comfortable with mama hope he feel better
