Damnit! I work in a day care, the parents bring their children in with pink eye which is how I got it we have had 4 kids in the last 2w!

UPSIDE- I TALKED THE DR INTO CHECKING ON BABY! HEARD HIS/HER HEART BEAT AGAIN! SHE SAID IT'S VERY STRONG AND SHE COULD TELL IT WAS MOVING! I CRIED!

  • Awww thats so sweet! :)

Pinkeye is horrible! I got it 2 years ago when I was on vacation, it was disgusting! Do you have it really bad? My eyes were not pink, they were blood shot red and gunky! :0& I got these drops that were $80 WITH insurance and they cleared it up pretty fast,
  • @excitedforoctober my right eye is completely blood shot, doesn't itch but is sore, and I woke up with my eye gooped shit :( . As for meds 3yr dr decided to give me this ointment shit since I'm pregnant. I don't like it so far! Lol luckily it was $10
  • @BabyLuv8 Yeah it horrible, I used to wake up with my eyes gooped shut too. What sucks is its soo contagious!
  • Ooo that's bad!! I'm sorry hun!! It's so crazy that pink eye is originally caused by fecal particles that get in the eye then it becomes super contagious! Get well soon!
  • My boys have had that. It sucks.
  • u know u can get pink eye from farting on someones pillow! lol jk hope u feel better soon! :))
  • @zolabean oh I know where it starts! It goes thru day cares like wild fire when the parents don't keep their children home. I guess the kids wanted to give me it for an early xmas present :(
@firsttime_mommy maybe thats what my husband did ;) lol
  • lol! now u gotta do it to him! haha jk :))
  • Well I'd tell ya if you were nursing; apparently breast milk is a cure for pink eye.... they have over the counter meds now for pink eye!
  • @momofsoontobe7 I just got prescription. It was $10 but it's an ointment so it sucks! I have no breast milk yet...lol
  • That's nuts why they would make you get the ointment! That's pathetic and such a mess. Someone on fb posted a link about what breast milk cures and that was on there. It amazes me as to what our bodies can do lol. Idk about you but I don't think I could use my own breast milk in my eye though lol.... hope it gets better soon!
  • Its such a shame how some parents can be so selfish and send their kids to school/daycare knowing that they are sick and contagious. I saw a status that someone posted of fb saying that her daughter caught something at school bc someone sent their child to school with a fever and a terribly sore throat.
  • @tootie08 isnt it sad! They do it all the time! And the other parents suffer. We try to catch them by taking fevers looking at undiagnosed rashes, pink eye you name it. But parents either don't notice or they do and try to get away with it by giving then tylenol in the morning to lower the fever.
