i feel like such a horrible mother . why is this happening to me !

my son is 2 1/2 years old . & he is very active , but he will not eat anything ! i have a 4 year old brother and whenever i sit my son down to eat he will get up to try and go play . even if he sits at the table he will not eat ! & i try to give him choices . like this morning i gave him Cream of Wheat(Maple) , Cereal , Powdered Dounuts(4) , Yogurt , & Juice . and all he ate was a tiny bit of the cream of wheat , none of the cereal , 2 1/2 powdered dounuts , barley any of the yogurt , and all of his juice ! he runs around all day and burns alot of calories so i know he needs to replenish them ! it is 1pm and i gave him PastaRings & Meatballs , and he wont even touch it ! i feel like a horrible mother , because i feel like im not giving him the nessary nutrients he needs . and im scared one day ima take him to the doctors and they are going to say he is under weight or something ! i just want him to be healthy and he wont eat . please help me

My son will be 4 in march an he's the same way ! I fix him 1 toaster strudel an he can only eat half! Or I fix him a egg he only eats the the yolk out of it ! Hes only like 30 pounds he doesn't eat Anythang .

@Mama_Kat if that is try and he will eat when he is hungry , he will NEVER eat . and i am not exaggerating !

He's not tall at all they sed he's weight is ok for his height they will check his height at wic Thursday idk Wat it was last time .

I have a 7 year old who is the same way! I used to only make things he liked just so he would eat something but eventually I gave up and told him he has to eat what we are having or he eats nothing at all! it didn't take long for him to start eating. trust me, he will not starve himself. He will eat when he gets hungry! it may take a day or two but he will eat. just offer the healthy stuff no junk food. and have you tried pediasure? make sure he gets vitamins every day too

@heyitsme i have tri-vi-sol vitamin drops i was giving to my daughter because i was breastfeeding , on the bottle it said you can give it to older children and its still the same amount . should i give him those and just put it in his juice ?
& i was actually thinking of buying pediasure , i just didnt want that to be the only thing he relied on .

Well my sons head has been huge since birth so I think that's where his weight is lol cuz he so skinny . But he's been eating like this for along time I was hoping it was jus a phase I can get him to eat a lil fruit tho have u tried that

Wouldn't hurt to give him the tri vi sol but I would get pediasure but just give one a day then at least he's getting protein

Sometimes little ones are overwhelmed by to many choices in front of them too so if all that food is in front of him, he'll eat less! Maybe try offering small small things?
