Does anyone bottle feed bm?

Ok so I want my lo to get the benefit of breastmilk but the daddy wants to be more involved and we both would like more freedom I guess. Does anyone else pump and save then just feed from the bottle? Because I need to to be able to do bottle but don't want the confusion.

    Yes that is all I do she won't latch on and the one time she did it hurt so freaking bad! I pump then she gets that I'm always one feeding ahead. She gets bm twice a day cause my supply is not enough the I supplement with formula. The way I figure it as long as I can give her some we are both doing all right then

    I do and I use breastflow bottles. Check them out. I love them. Just make sure you pump at some point during the day to make up for what she drank so your body keeps producing the same amount of milk your Lo drinks. Breast milk supply is based on their demand.

    @mylittleman2011, thank u I feel better now :) I'm going to do that for sure than because this is getting out of hand lol...it hurts, I don't get sleep I don't get to eat I'm therefore super emotional and get irritated so easy which isn't fun for anyone else I'm sure. And plus shes starting to use me as a pacifire like even when shes done eating she won't let me take her off even though shes not sucking anymore but rather sleeping.

    @momaynot I will look at those I already have bottles but if those dont work and she doesn't like them I will check those out for sure. Thank u!

    I used Playtex before and she was never satisfied, after she ate she always wanted the boob. These make them work for it. Make sure she is not going through a growth spurt. If she is, she is telling your body to make more milk by eating all the time. You need to feed her off the breast during those times or you won't produce enough. I know it is hard but it doesn't last forever.

    They also promote a good latch because of their shape and they simulate letdown too. They really are amazing. My lo didn't like them at first because she was use to playtex and didn't want to work for it. She got use to them though and is satisfied after because she had to suck more to finish a bottle. You can also use the playtex liners in them. They are the same size as the breastflow ones. I was happy because I already had two boxes of them and I can still use them.

    Well right now shes not going through a slert cause I have to wake her up to eat.. but how much do u give them since usually on the boob she will just start falling asleep.. @momaynot

    Well I just.tried the avent she loved it I only pumped 3 and she hasn't been able to finish it.

    I do and he uses any nipple with no confusion

    I feed bm from a Playtex ventair bottle that has a wide and slow flow nipple. I primarily bf but he'll take a bottle when I'm not around

    I do, she hasn't had any nipple confusion with the paci or the playtex drop ins. The sore nipples will get better, mine hurt for the first two weeks...it hurt so much I would bite my lip and cringe my toes but I stuck with it cause I knew it was best for both her and I. Now at almost 6 weeks they don't hurt at all.

    @britt21 thats so funny cause that is exactly what I do with the toes and lips but I just say how good it is for her over and over again helps a lot to keep going.

    I freeze them in 3-4 ounces. She usually drinks 4 every two hours unless she is sleeping. I don't have to wake her every 3 like I use to. Now she sometimes sleeps up to 4 during the day and 5 at night then I have to wake her.

    How old is your lo? Mine only drank 2 ounces at 1 month and it went up from there. She is seven weeks now.

    She is 6 days and its weird she its taking 3oz like every 3hrs maybe shes growing plus I still feed her from the breast as well.

    @jules I understand..she must be going through a growth spurt...I didn't pump the first two weeks so idk how much my lo was getting that early.

    @october15baby I'm doing both now as well I give her more bottles through out the day but I still breastfed as well and the times it's bottles I'll just pump or when it starts hurting lol she falls asleep as well but the hard part is the fact that when we try and put her down after it wakes her up and she acts like she wants more do we bought her a paci today maybe that will help cause she just wants something in her mouth.

    @britt21 I just pump like 3 and sometimes she wants it all most times not depends on how long it is between the feedings.

    @rules that is why I switched to those breastflow bottles. My daughter won't take a pacifer. You are lucky!

    @october15baby ya I'm doing a lot more breast cause it doesn't hurt like before thank god. It really does help them fall asleep. But the bottles are great so daddy can help at night and I can get some rest :)
