Plz help- using my boob to help him to sleep

My Lo is 16 weeks and has started using me as a pacifier to get him to sleep. If i put him down after breast feeding him and he wakes up he needs my boob to get him back to sleep again. I have tried him with a paci but doesn't tolerate it.

What can i do? Does it have to be tough love and let him just cry for it until he realises he won't be getting it? I don't like to keep my OH awake though.

Yes he does the same but now seems to wake up 10 mins later, realises he's not in the boob and crys till he gets it again. Should't i be trying to get him to self settle?
