Coloboma

I'm just curious if anybody else's LO or knows anyone with Coloboma, preferably bilateral. My daughter was diagnosed with it at 6 weeks and thought it would be neat to know others who know of it, especially since it's rare.

    @starlilly its a birth defect of the eyes. What happens is the iris (one or both) doesn't fully form in utero. I have yet to hear about a bad case or outcome, most everyone I've read about have had minor issues such as light sensitivity. My daughter has tear drop shaped pupils as opposed to round, so she's got cat eyes. It's quite neat actually! So far, everything has checked out remarkably well for her, so I'm not worried, I'm just curious to see if anyone on Pregly has experience with it in some way. Like I said earlier, its pretty rare, so rare that our pediatrician has never seen it in her 11+ years in practice!
