Im not having any more babys but if i was i wouldn't want one! i can see the appeal but don't trust its totally safe. i understand that its a prototype but even so, if we were ment to see our babies growing 24/7 our tums would come with a built in window lol
When I got my 3d done the tech said it is high frequency sound waves that captures the image so wouldn't that be the same? And she told us too many of them could cause hearing problems
I don't think I'd wear it always, but maybe at night or when I get home from work? I feel like it would never get old to watch or see my baby within me... Since I constantly worry anyways! Lol I think it's all whether it's healthy or not & if enough research has been done... Renting them out would be a good idea!
Im not sure I would wear it. After my second pregnancy ended in a missed miscarriage I did consider getting a fetal heart monitor when I got pregnant again but felt it could become an obsession and if I couldn't find the heartbeat I would be panicking and even more stressed out! This would be the same I think! And it would take away the excitement of your regular scans, the fact you only get to go for two or three makes it something to look forward to and keep you going through your pregnancy! Interesting idea though!
@fate no way am I wearing it, it is simply not natural, and talking to your tommy while pregnant is enough bonding for me... What next we will be offered to be in the uterus with the growing baby lol SMH
It reminds me of the cow with the window in its stomach! Lol! Anyone seen that? Funny thing is, when I was preg my hubby mentioned how it would be cool to have the cow window! Lol.
@HomeBirthAdvocate, @Rosiepie Can you find the links that say this is proven? I have been looking and looking and the majority of the sites I've seen are written by Midwives. And they pretty much all say "Doctors are trained to use expensive technology instead of determing the same things using hands-on techniques." My cousin's child was born with only a partial brain, she received no ultrasound and had no time to prepare for her baby's death when he was born. As far as I knew, Ultrasounds use high frequency sound waves. So high that we (even your baby) cannot hear them. And if you mean delayed speech when you say speech problems, at what age was this determined? I had 4 ultrasounds with my first baby that were 30 minutes long and 3 that were over an hour. One of which was a 3D ultrasound. She is developmentally ahead per her pediatrician and teacher. If you can, inbox me, or post the links here?
That was just what my ultrasound tech told us, she said she did not do sessions longer than 30 min on women early in their pregnancy (the ones doing the 3d for gender) I've never researched it thats why i was asking. Sorry thats all the info I have just from what the tech said.
