LO peeing in the tub??

My little girl is 10 weeks old and it seems like everytime I put her in the tub she pees. So I have been dumping out the water and refill the tub. It is such a pain!! I was just wondering what u ladies do when your LO pees in the tub??

    Warm water makes them pee.

    Well.... I started off like you, dumping the water and refilling. I dont fill the tub though when they are that young, my 4 month old just lays on a mesh lounge chair type thing and I wash them in the tub like that, I fill it up a little, but they are not sitting right in it. So if he pees in it I use the cup I am washing him with and rinse them off with clean water bc I just keep the tub running. Once they are good at sitting on their own, 6-9 months I put them in a big blow up rubber ducky that goes inside the bath tub and they take a bath in that. I would dump the water and refill it everytime they peed in it, but my now 3 year old (who is potty trained, and pees right before getting in the bath tub) still stands up and pees in the bath tub and thinks it is funny! So I no longer dump the water I make him take a bath in his pee water. But for a 10 week old I would not let them sit in it.

    I don't do anything. Urine is sterile and won't harm the baby.

    Ok I didn't think it was to big of a deal to just leave it. There is barley any pee compared to the amount of water that's in the tub.

    Exactly! It's like how many gallons of water to like 5 seconds of pee. Won't hurt them. And saves you the trouble of starting a new bath :)

    My little girl sits on a mesh seat also, but I do fill her little tub so she is in the water, it makes her really enjoy bath time! I can't wait until she can hold her head n sit up right so she can sit in a little floaty in the tub, I know she is going to love it!!

    Can she sit in a bumbo? If so, you should get bath seat for her. Sits them up right. Bentley loves it! He can sit up, but only for a minute. So the bath seat sits them up like a bumbo.

    I dont do anything... Sometimes give a rinse off with a cup of fresh water but never really thought about it before lol

    she can't really sit up all that great, she like to throw her head forward! But when she can sit up I will definately look into a bath seat!

    Ooo no!! Compared to that pee doesn't seem that bad at all! LOL my little girl hasn't pooped in the tub yet, but she did poop right after she got out of the tub n it was a big one! It got all over her n her cute little princess towel!

    Lol, it was a huge mess!! It literally turned the tub water green & he was smiling while doing it too!
