Healthcare after military?

I just got my BFP today, so forgive me if I'm overthinking, but... Hubs will be getting out of the Army soon, way before the Peanut arrives. I was just wondering if anyone knew how Veteran healthcare worked? Would I have to pay? Do I need to get private insurance? Is there a website I can go to? Any info would be appreciated.

    You're entitled to medical through the VA, but I believe you do have to pay a little fee for him to add you and baby. Contact your local VA office

    How soon is he getting out before the baby is born? My husband is getting out soon to but we will still have 6 months of tricare after he gets out..not sure about the VA healthcare ...my hubby never said that we would have that..intact we were just talking about what insurance we wanted after he gets out..
