anyone get the flu when pregnant?

Im almost 16 weeks and i spent the day in the hospital yesterday and got sent home with the flu. They gave me tamiflu, that i dint want to take. My ob said it was fine but i just want to know if any of you have taken it or had the flu.. what helps??

I can't say I have the flu but close. I can't stop.sneezing, coughing and feel like poo. I'm drinking hot blackcurrant and loads of hunny and lemon. I'm not taking any meds though x hope you feel better soon x

I took antibiotics instead of that stuff. I feel much better now. Just rest.

I did I just got over it last week but the cough lasted 2 weeks it sux big time and I was only 8 weeks sux big time and I took tamiflu too and when they did my ultrasound the baby was fine. I just took tamiflu and some ricolas and lots of water and chicken soup

I had the gotten the flu the day after getting my flu shot. And I had it for 6 weeks. My ob just told me to stay hydrated because they didn't think I had the flu I had to go to urgent care to prove to them I did have the flu. I took the same meds they gave you and I was better in about a week and a half. Good luck.

If your ob says you can take it its fine. I was sick earlier this week and was taking theraflu and people told me i shouldn't take it cause i am pregnant. Ob said it was fine to take.

Yes I was 11w wen I got it. It was bad I couldnt eat- breath-sleep ive had the swine flu jab nw tho an im knw 31w an I havnt a cold nor anythin else so im happy nw. I was worried for my baby but everything okay thanks to god so dont worry just drink water an relax :-) hope u get well soon x

I have had the cold twice since i found out im pregnant, I'm 17 weeks on Tuesday. At the minute im recovering from bronchitius on antibiotics. I waa really worried as my cough got so bad it cramped my belly and made me sick but the doc said it wont harm my baby at all :-)

My ob suggested i get the flu shot. I was hesisatant because last year i got the shot, i got flu like symptoms right after. He told me they give pregnant women a non live virus shot. So i got it on my last visit and so far so good.

I didn't have any issues with the tamiflu it made me feel better fast. It's expensive but I didn't care cuz my temperature went up to 103.8 so that's even more higher for the baby and my doc said it was fine so I trust her and babys fine also

I had the flu and mono at the same time. They put me on 3 liters of iv fluids when I went to the er and I still have a cough. Thats the sicker I've been in a long time. The doc gave me extra strength tylenol to bring down my 102.6 temp and said keep taking until there's no more pain burning mire than 4 grams a day. My bd took such good care of me. I'm a cashier and I go back to work tommorrow Im scared shitless ill catch something else from a grody customer coughing in my face
