soft spot question?!?

edited February 2012 in Babies Health
I'm freaking out here...Leo's soft spot sometimes sinks then comes back.
When he is crying or fussing it sinks I'm terribly scared. And then a few moments later its back up? Is he dehydrated or is this normal? :-( I'm so scared I keep checking his sift spot

  • It CAN be from dehydration, but it can also just happen. Don't worry, happened to my girl and I almost rushed her to the Er lol
  • Oh and it pulsates most of the time too. He does have enough wet diapers and no others symptoms besides drooling lots and lots of foamy drool. He turned 3 months today :-) 14 lbs
  • Everything about this baby scares me Haha such a naive mommy
  • Did your girl continue to get it or did it just stopped happening? Did you do anything differently
  • My daughter's does the same (sinks and pulsates). She's over 4 months now. I'm pretty sure that's normal. ;)

  • I've heard its from dehydration, but I work in an infant room and I swear they always do this and we are keeping them from drinking lol.
  • It happened with both of my kids... It stops eventually when it fills in lol
  • Don't know what's normal but my sons does the same. Creeps me out!
  • Also, I haven't seem any tears when he cries. Well not since he was born, when do they start production of tears ?
