Having all day morning sickness

edited January 2011 in First Trimester
This is my first pregnancy, I am exactly 7 weeks pregnant and having morning sickness all day. I can't stand the sight, smell, or taste of anything. I don't know what to do!

  • Tell your doctor. They have pills that are perfectly okay to take while prego that will help. I'm 27 weeks and still sick like that. :(
  • Thanks jmichelle, I have my first ob appointment next week so Ill be sure to mention this during my time that way I can get my hands on some of those pills you talking about because I really can't take the sickness I completely lost my appetite.
  • I'm 7 weeks and feeling like that too. I just started feeling better today. Don't know about you, but I felt like I was hungover/having the worst flu ever for about 4 days. Felt like a month!
  • Ask your doctor about phenergan (its an anti-nausea med). I've taken that for both of my pregnancies including this one. I have all day nausea as well and this medicine takes the edge off. I'm here for you if you ever need a friend. :)
  • I was really sick for the first 19wks I tried zofran but it gave me headaches bad so she gave me phenergan and that helps alot although it makes u sleepy. The zofran didn't and my sis n law takes it and it works great for her so just talk to ur doc. And congrats!
  • The phenergan made me really sleepy at first, but then after months of being on it on a regular basis my body became immuned to that side effect. Zofran didn't work for me but it might for you. Its a very pricey medicine and most insurance companies won't pay for it.
  • One weird trick I do is whenever I feel queasy, I pop an Altoid. Something about the super strong peppermint soothes my tummy.
  • Yep, always having mints or gum available is key for me. Takes the edge off the nausea
  • Plain digestive biscuits or dry toast?
  • I was the same this pregnancy, as long as I kept my sugar n hydration up I was okish thankfully it mostly passed I'm 23 weeks now n still get ut occasionally when I walk, through a food court or cook tomato or cheese
