car seat question about out growing infant seat

My son will be 5 months on the 29and is lean and tall. His feet touch the back part of the seat in the car and he's not going to fit real soon. I also have a convertable car seat and his feet still touch the back part of the car. I know I can't put him front facing so what elsa can I do? Is their a way I can fix it?
