  • Why are you being induced? It makes labor WAY more painful and most women have to get an epidural because of the severe contractions being induced causes.
  • @mrz_jackson Yeahh I don't want an epi. Too risky. Lol
    @armahnismommy thank you :)
@starrxoxo9 I was gonna be induced if I didn't go into labor by my dd anyway. My dr doesn't work on Wednesdays. My amniotic fluid is on the lower side of normal anyway so my dr is worried. But also because I want my dad to be able to be here for her birth. He works for a month at a time and is only home for a week and they live out of town. I was already dilated a couple cm the other day so maybe mine wont be too bad. Im gonna be hopeful though that my induction isn't horrible and my contractions aren't too bad. I've talked to a couple ladies that had a great and easy induction.
  • I went natural twice but my labours started naturally. Heat helped me, shower, bath, heat pack. Try to keep your breathing regular, try not to panic, keep reminding yourself that the pain wont last forever, its only a few hours then you get that baby. You really do forget the pain after, my first words after my son was born after 17 hours... That was so worth it...
  • @tinka1326 that's what I have practically engraved into my head is that its not permanent pain. I know I can do it naturally if I don't freak out and I keep in mind its worth it. Thank you for your advice:)
  • If things do get too tough and you change your mind and ask for meds dont beat yourself up about it :-)
  • Yeah, keep an open mind about everything. I was going to go natural, things didn't go as so smoothly. Not saying you'll need the epidural, but other things might change.

SN: aren't you in mobile? What hospital are you delivering at?
  • Hey girl, glad to see ur doing good. Cant wait to see ur lil babygirl. My friends bday is on Feb 29 & it kinda sucks to have to wait for ur bday every 4 yrs. But good luck :)
  • @tinka1326 Yeahh im worried that if I opt for the epi that ill feel like I failed in a way. I lost my plug this morning and I've been having sparatic contractions so maybe she will come on her own before tomorrow morning! Lol

@lucyloo288 yupp I am:) im having her at providence. If I have to have one ill get it but I just want to do it naturally if possible. I read pitocin contractions are way worse than regular because they hit full force and you can't work your way up like your body does naturally.

@wyattsmommy im gonna keep an open mind but I hope it goes smoothly. Lol it will all be worth it in the end.

@nylasmommy Heyy:) Yeahh im great just anxious for tomorrow! But Yeahh In a way im glad her birthday won't be the 29th! That would be confusing. Lol an thank you
  • Yes having a leap yr bday is confusing & it would b sad for a kid not to have a bday every yr :( I had changed my username I was mrsthompson34. I had talked to u on here before BC ur bd is Cambodian BC I am :)
  • @nylasmommy Ohh Yeahh I remember you! Lol you were the only other cambodian! If I would have her on the 29th id celebrate her b'day the 28th and the 1st lol but instead she gets the 23rd:)
  • Either way im so happy u carried ur baby to full term :)
  • Remember that how you deliver your baby doesnt change how much of a good mum you are. C-section, epidural, natural, doesnt matter as long as they come out healthy and you are safe too. I was blessed with relatively easy births, but if they weren't and I opted for an epi wouldnt make me any less of a mum :-)

  • @nylasmommy me too thank you:)
@tinka1326 I guess its a personal goal for myself but everyone keeps telling me that im not a failure if I get one...that Its understandable.I just want the experience and empowerment lol
@tricesbaby Yeahh its been a long ride since then! Lol but well worth it. Tomorrow is a day ill never forget and have long awaited. As soon as I have her Ill post:)
  • I can understand that, I was pretty determined first time aroubd. Second baby I didn't have a choice, from first contraction to baby being out was 2 hours 10 mins. I was in the hospital 10 mins before she was out and in my arms lol
I wish you a happy and safe delivery, the days after are soooo euphoric. Tag me in your labour story so I dont miss it :-)
