camcorders vs camera

edited February 2012 in Just for Fun
So I'm thinking of getting a cheap camcorder for now since my daughters first birthday is coming upon and I cant do an expensive one right now. I was wondering if a camera that records video is just as good as a camcorder? What do you guys have?

  • Our camera that records video is great quality but since it's mostly meant for pix it doesn't have capacity for long videos. We got a Panasonic camcorder for Christmas that also takes still-shot pictures. It has such great sound and clarity. It's amazing!

It's a Panasonic HDC-TM90, 5.0 mega pixels, and a built-in 16GB memory. Not exactly sure what all that means but it's on the side of the camcorder. Lol. I don't think it was an expensive one but i know there are a bunch that take still-shots.
  • @kjackmom that sounds nice. I have a camera but I was thinking if I got another I could save the old one for baby. I think I found a couple cheap camcorders. It's a rough decision. Lol I wish my '02 camcorder was OK but it's gigantic lol
