Primed mama vs. laid back mommy.

edited February 2012 in Just for Fun
I read an article that was talking about the make-up wearing, hair always done type mothers vs to the yoga pants/sweat pants, messy hair mamas. Which do you consider yourself?

  • Yoga pants! But my baby girl always looks cute!
  • Yoga pants for me but I'm with u my kids always look good. That's why I don't have time to get myself prettied up lol
  • Half and half lol. I'm a hairstylist so on my work days I'm always done up. But on my off days, its ponytail & pjs lol.
  • Sweat pants all the way. If we go out though I make sure I look okay and usually chuck on jeans...
  • Im def laid back
  • I wear jeans not yoga pants lol but my hair is never done up.... well its colored and highlighted but I just brush it :) I can't do makeup though because my skin is so sensitive and dry and it breaks out when I put anything on. I could wear eyeshadow n stuff but was never taught how and it always looks bad when I try :(
  • Laid back. Even on our date nights, I'm usually too busy getting my girl ready for her grandparents to do too much. Although, I rarely go out with absolutely no make up. My hair is always a mess!
  • I'm done up momma!! I've always been the big hair and make up kinda girl!! I swore once I had a child I wouldn't change! I probably have more relaxed days than I use to but I won't leave the house unless im all done up.
Ohhh and my lil one us always super cute!
  • I used to be done up but my man likes me laid back. The kids are always cute but most of the time I'm laid back
  • I'm not really done up but I get dressed and put make up on everyday. I just wear jeans usually. I feel better when I'm dressed.
  • Pajamas pants an ponytail :)
  • what was the article about, exactly? I'm interested in knowing

I'm with @crystaldawn0830 I'm big on hair and makeup. I never leave the house without my hair and make up done. My lo is always dressed to impress:)
  • Pj pants hair in a ponie and a comfy shirt!
  • I'm in between I've always been a Tomboy growing up but I do get dressed up. I wear makeup everyday, not alot tho. I also wear jeans and a nice shirt. Not really a dress girl.
  • Both. Ima sahm so I don't wear make up daily but if we're going certain places I get all made up. My daughters almost two months old and I have only got dolled up a couple times since her birth
  • I am laid back. Get dressed for grocery store and drs appointments
  • LOL my hair is always done, and the only time I wear makeup is when I'm getting very dressed up. However, I'm not always dressed...I love yoga pants and a cute hoodie! Come summer, it will be tank too in lieu of hoodie. My daily "makeup" consists of tinted moisturizer, mascara, and lip gloss or chapstick. I don't need makeup really, I'm tan and I have awesome skin.
  • I like to dress my jeans up with cute tops & heels (heels have been replaced by cute ballet flats since my baby girl came along though). OH & I love eyeshadow & shiny lips. I'm a SAHM too, but I look for any reason to get cute. lol
  • Well if i go anywhere i always wear jeans/shorts and nice shirt my hair is almost always done as well as make up and my son is always looking pimpin! he sports his semi baggy jeans his DC's and a nice shirt followed by unbuttoned button up shirt. he is totally a pimp.
  • @armymommy im so there with you
  • It was an absolutely absurd article about how moms judge each other based off of appearances. The done up moms thought the laid back moms were lazy & the laid back moms were considered self absorbed. I have never heard a mother call another mother out b/c of attire (unless it was skanky). I have friends on both sides of the spectrum. So, I found this interesting.
  • @ripKaydence, lol!!!! Go head pimpin'!

  • @sophiasmom11, I agree with @ArmahnisMommy. Just getting out of the house will make a difference. I always like to get dolled up when I'm feeling down. It makes me feel better for some reason.
  • Done up mom but the grocery store is around the block so I have my sweat pant moments for 30 mins some days. I didn't own sweat pants, outside suitable leggings or sneakers until I got pregnant. I am a designer so appearance is important.
  • I'm a done up mommy. I just feel too white trash going out of the house in longe clothes.
