Thank You for Praying for Kaylynn UPDATE #15

Please pray for my friends baby girl, Kaylynn. She's only a month old and is in the pediatric icu with RSV. She has been sedated and put on a ventilator. She's being fed through a feeding tube and has a pic line in her groin and a catheter. She is very sick and can use all the prayer she can get.

RSV is such a pain, but she will be okay It may take a week or two, but things will get better. She should be off the vent soon. Prayers.

UPDATE #1

They tried taking Kaylynn off the ventilator today. Things didn't go well. Her heart started racing really fast. They had to put her back on. They're gonna try again tomorrow. I have faith she's gonna pull through. Keep the prayer coming please.

Yes. Skin to skin for mom, dad, and baby. It's proven to help infants recover more quickly.

@Fate usually PICUs won't allow holding,depending on the types of lines the baby has, as a safety thing. It also depends on sedation and if her airway is secure or not. It is a much different environment from a NICU. RSV babies are super tempermental when they're intubated, so it's safer to not allow holding, just touching and talking...at least that has been my experience working in both ICUs.

She opened her eyes. And like @RTMommy said, they cannot hold her because of the ventilator and the PIC line in her groin. My heart aches with every new picture posted.
