hair loss?

I know its normal to lose more hair than you normally shed, but does anyone know how long that typically lasts? My hair is really thick, so I am in no danger of going bald, but I am shedding what I used to in a week, daily! I exclusively breast feed and take a vitamin daily, so I don't think its a deficiency. Anyone else's experiences?

    I lost a ton of hair after Ollie was born. My doctor explained to me that something with the change in your hormones causes all of your hair to go to the same growth stage, and that causes it to all fall out at the same time. Mine lasted about 2 months..and it was really falling out during that time..like handfuls! Its slowed down now..but I do have 2 small bald spots on each side of my head from it!

    My hair is fine/thin I'm 6months pp and its still falling out excessively. Mine is growing in everywhere now though, I have tons of really short hairs mainly around my face.
