Latching problem when teething?

For the past few days I've noticed my sons having a hard time latching on. He's also getting his 2 bottom teeth, and are just now breaking through the skin. Does this have any connection? Its like his suction isn't as good as it was before, and he's having a hard time keeping my nipple in his mouth.

Help!

    Ive heard of this happening, his bottom gums are probably very sore which makes the latching process uncomfortable.
    Also getting used to those new teeth.
    he should get better once they break through.

    @littlefae I hope that's what's going on..he only latches for a few seconds...starting to hurt my nipples!

    Have you tried a nipple shield?
