7 1/2 months & not getting full...

edited May 2012 in Babies Health
My son will be 8 months next week..for the part week or so he just hasn't been getting full. I feed him cereal or oatmeal in the morning with fruit. & I feed him baby food every other feeding along with a 4oz bottle. But today I Fed him a jar of carrots & a 4oz bottle..he was still hungry so I made him 2 more Oz. well when he finished he started crying b/c he was hungry. So I made him 2 more Oz & finally he was satisfied. I'm worried that I might be over feeding him b/c he's been like this for almost 2 weeks now. What do I do?

  • May be a growth spurt. I would suggest giving him a meat with a grain (ie. Chicken and rice) to fill him more.
  • Thanks y'all @2ndbutfirst @Mijita I will try upping his bottles, he's a growing boy so he probably just needs more :)
  • Defiantly my dome eats 6oz and sometimes 8oz for the first morning bottle .
  • Jaksyn will be 8 months on the 13th.... he gets up around 7am and at 8 he has a 7oz bottle, then at 11 he has lunch which is a container of fruit mixed with oatmeal, at 1 he has a 7oz bottle and then takes a nap, at 4 he has a 7oz bottle which we have started thinking about switching that to snack time instead of a bottle bc he doesnt seem interested in formula then and he needs to practice feeding himself like cheerios, and then around 530 he has dinner like a chicken and noodle dinner or turkey and rice and then at 730ish he has a 7oz bottle and sleeps all night. Just thought that might help with what another baby that age is eating, although i have a big boy he is almost 20lbs haha.
  • @My2Boys thanks girl! & I have a big boy too. At his 6 month check up he was 19lbs. 10oz. :O
