No one told me that or that I would have to take the BIGGEST POO EVVVEEERRR after a week of no pooping because of the pain meds or how sweaty you will be for the next 2 days...I was practicality dripping sweat
@devins_mommy you may never get feeling back. Four years aftery first, it was still numb but slightly better. I hate hubby touching me there.bc it feels so weird. The incision itself healed great. It was dark purple the first year or so but by the time I was preggo with my 2nd, 4 years later, I could barely see it anymore. What did they check your belly button for? I dont remember that
That I was convinced chugging a Pepsi was the best idea right after pushing Kenzie out, until a half hour later I puked my guts out all over the front desk of the mother baby unit in my wheelchair....talk about embarrassing lol
That I was going to possible rip (which I did) and get so many stiches (20 ouch!) I was sort for weeks! and couldnt squat down for months... and TMI but air gets up there A LOT more then it did before I gave birth and we all know what happens when air gets up there lol
No one told me the first time i went poop was going to feel like giving birth again. I even asked for lacsitive. And that my vag would still hurt even after 6months of giving birth. @Homebirthadvocate i shook bad too. I remember the gyno telling me to hold still a little while he was sewing me up from tearing.
No one told me about the all the saggy skin that would be left on my stomach... Forever! Or at least until i get a tummy tuck. No one told me all of the horrible things that CAN happen to your vagina while giving birth... Im pretty sure i experienced them ALL with my first. I think i was pretty clueless first time around.
@ezrasmommy I didn't know about the stretch marks on the crotch either...I got all the way thru pregnancy and after he's born I get a few on my crotch! Wth lol I guess I won't complain w just a few there.
I also tore really bad inside (actual term the dr used was "shredded") I always knew about outside tears but was unaware about the inside
@crystaldawn0830 I wish that was the only place I got them. I have them everywhere imaginable lol. My doc had to have another doc help sew me up and it took about 30 min. I wish i knew how many stitches I had but he stopped counting lol. When i said no one told me i could bleed to death, I was speaking literally haha. But that wasn't completely from ripping.
I also didn't know my back would sag! Lmao. That went back to normal though.
Even tho I had a horrible and long labor (27 hrs, ended with a c section) I would still go threw labor again. (: the outcome out weighs the bad. N I wish it would happen soon!!!! Just gotta keep bugging the hubby!! Lol.
Oh! And no one said until it happened that my contractions could stop COMPLETELY between babies. Then go from 0 to holy shit like THAT *snap*. Or that, while pushing, your water could bust up to 5 feet away. Awkward. Lol
No one told me I would be starving after the surgery and not be aloud to eat for another 24 hours unless u count broth. (36 hours with no food 15 with water wtf)
@candy101 def feel you on that one. But the second c section I had they let me eat later thst night after my c section. The nurse said it was fine if I didn't gobble everything in sight lol I think I had just a sandwich but I was fine. Who knows how safe that was though...

That sex eould hurt SO bad even after waiting the 7 weeks!! It felt like losing my virginity again!! Eeeek!
That its possible to tear 3 different ways, and that there are diff levels of tearing?! I had 3 level 3 lacerations they called it. One inside and two outside splits on each side of my clitoris!!! Ahhhh it SUCKED!!!
That i wouldn't want to sleep after laboring for 30 hours and being totally rest deprived, because i didn't want to stop looking at my beautiful baby
I'd empty my entire bladder everywhere for a week. Yes I peed myself daily. I had a catheter during labor so this is why I assume. Your body looses It's judgement on when you need to pee and your bladder is FULL!!
That they push on your uterus so freaking hard every hour or more the first day
SCAR TISSUE from tearing can make sex hurt even 3 months pp.

When I was on the table having my c section it took everything in me to keep my eyes open to actually be able to see my son, I was shaking uncontrollably also. And after. And the next day I would just fall asleep randomly when I had visitors lol.
When we were able to have.sex, it was the best sex we had, hahaha.
@devins_mommy my husband took pictures of them cutting me open and yanking the baby out too. The nurse yelled at him for peeking over the curtain though. Afterwards he told me that he saw my "huge" uterus and my intestines when they were sewing me back up SMH

&& after my recovery I got to drink a cup of monster (energy drink) even tho I was trying to Brest feed!! Hahah. I was craving it my whole pregnancy, obv I didn't drink it.

That I would end up having to get a hemorrhoidectomy bc the hemorrhoids would never go away
That I had to carry a pillow around for 8 weeks just to be able to sit down
