what would you do?

I have to attend a bachelorette party this weekend. While I'm gone my husband said he he plans to take our son (7 months old) to the beach and aquarium. I'm kinda bummed. I want to be there the first time he goes to the beach. Would you say something or just let it be?

  • I would say something. He is your husband, if you can't tell him your feelings who can you tell? Maybe suggest something else fun they could do and plan to do that with them the following week.
  • I know if I said something he wouldnt go. I just dont want to be unreasonable. I guess I dont need to be there for his EVERY first...
  • @OctMommy I think you should say something cause whenever I wanna do something with my daughter and its her 1st and if my fiancé wanna be there he will say something
  • Yes talk to him about it an then maybe help him come up with more ideas to do with the baby
  • I can't handle missing any "firsts".
  • That's a big first in my opinion ...definitely mention!

I think you should say something...My mil wanted to take lo to the zoo monday and I told her no she couldnt because i wanted to take her for the first time and she understood so your husband should understand!

  • I have to say I sort of agree with @ArmahnisMommy its great that he has planned a great day out for your little one and although I understand you will be missing out a little, its something he gets to experience with his daddy! Make sure you ask him to take loads of pictures and be proud of the fact that your partner is so proactive, a lot of dads would just sit in the house and not do anything with their kids in that situation!
  • We dont live near a beach but there is no way i'd let my hubby go with just him and baby. What if he forgets sunscreen? Or baby freaks out about something and he cant soothe him, i guess i wouldn't trust my husband to do everything i would do. Mommy knows best after all lol
  • I'd be bummed but I'm a sahm so I get to experience lots of first while hes working..
