  • @2ndbutfirst great idea! My son loves being read to!! & they're cheap :D any recommendations?
  • We got Juliana and vacuum that sings and counts and daddy picked out some helicopter things that plays colors and numbers
  • My daughter just celebrated her first birthday about 2 weeks ago. She got lots of books, clothes, and some of the toys she got were a walking activity center (one she can push around), this turtle bouncer that she sits on and bounces on and it plays music and lights up, a puppy dog that sings and says her name. her favorite thing, though, was this little plastic chair. She freaking loves it, I swear she thinks she is a princess in it cuz she just sits there with this little grin and waves LOL.
  • How cute @LilSugarsMomma

A bike/trike, someone posted one on here yesterday! I love books too! You could get some first crayons and some finger paints (I also love creative stuff!), paddling pool with play balls (then you can use it all year round not just in summer - I have also used shredded paper in mine which kids love!), building bricks or blocks, my first farm with animals or a similar role play idea, car mat, garage and some chunky cars, bubble machine, nursery rhyme cds.... I used to work in a preschool!
  • My daughter is in love with "Brown Bear, Brown Bear What do you See", "The Very Hungry Catapilliar", " Quack!" And the "If you give a ________ a ________ books. That later I have not been able to find in board book form.

Other toys for 1 year olds:
A ball, a truck, large crayons, bubbles, stuffed animal, blocks/stacking toys, play tunnel, drum/shakers, slide, almost any type of bath toy, a doll, mini shovel/pail so Lo can start 'gardening'. One is a great age because they start doing imagination play too so you can start getting your little guy some dress up clothes, play kitchen/work bench, and hold on to them until around 18 months or let Lo play with them now and see what they figure out. Lilium was obsessed with putting her stuffed kitty in the play oven.
  • If you like books this one is super cute, Ollie loves it

Also how about a ball pit? They have an awesome small blow up one at babies r us..Ollie loves balls so we are getting him that.
