We are going to the zoo on memorial day and was wondering if it would be ok to give my lo some so she doesn't get dehydrated...she really doesn't like water and its suppose to be like 90 degrees. I need to take something for her to drink. She will be 7 months on the 8th.

@lilsugarsmomma I didn't see why not either but when I started to read the bottle it said to ask a doc before 1yr of age...but I don't really see why that is.

She will just get the pedialyte by itself so I won't have to worry about the calorie thing. Thanks @2ndbutfirst I was hoping someone else had done it before.

I don't know if it's baby friendly, but maybe add a little of that Mio water flavor stuff to the water?? Also, the juice idea sounds like a great idea.

We use pedialyte and Gatorade. Bad mommies, I know, right?

Gotcha thanks. I would call the doc but its already Sunday and of course they won't be open tomorrow..maybe the on call person would know? But ill probly just stick with my gut feelings. @mama_kat
@lilsugarsmomma I'm pretty sure the Mio is energy enhanced...it usually is with all the monsters and red bulls at the store, but thanks for the thought.
@steph_due_101611 lol you are not a bad mommy. After reading the bottle and some of the things it was saying it now makes me nervous giving it to her. But we shall see?

@candy101 she was trying to help with the flavor of the water.
@2ndbutfirst didn't know there was a certain amount of water they are only allowed to have.

@mrz_jackson just an fyi I asked the doc and she said if she isn't vomiting or have diahierra(sp) to not offer pedialyte. She said to do juice instead.

No problem! @mrz_jackson something about the eletrolites in it that aren't good for them while they aren't sick. It's suppose to help replenish them faster and if they aren't losing any than its not good for them. So maybe try 50/50 of water and juice.

Yea we opted not to go at the last minute and I'm glad we did cause it was extremely hot that day and since she is cutting teeth she was spitting up a lot. Plus they txtd us at like 3pm and said they were only half way done..we were suppose to leave at 9am. So I am glad we didn't go. Good luck with your hot hot day @mrz_jackson
