Paediatrician today - Update July 11th

Riley is at the paediatrician today again. I'm hoping we get some answers concerning his hydronephrosis after his latest test last week. He had a renogram (they had to put in a drip tube, then down to nuclear med where they injected a tiny amount of radiation before watching him for about 30 mins via a scan to see how his kidneys filtered it out). I'm hoping he has the results but they said that it could take up to 2 weeks so who knows! Wish us luck!

Thank-you guys, I really hope so! A few people have asked over the last 2-3 weeks if he is under Great Ormond Street (that's the huge kids hospital in London for you US ladies!) And I'm a bit scared that will be the next step. Although they are amazing I don't like to think of my boy having to go there! X

hopefully he wont need to hon, which hospital are u under now? if he does get referred there though, he'l be great, its lovely there, ive had two family members spend a lot of time there... let us know how it goes xx

Yeah I looked after a little boy who had cancer and he went there, we did lots of fundraising for them as his parents said the same thing. He is under Southend Hospital at the moment. Appointment at 11 so will let you know x

I am sooooo angry, arrived at the hospital to be told the appointment was cancelled Monday and they apparently sent a letter which I haven't got! The next available appointment was August 9th! Kicked up a fuss I was so frustrated and I'm going in next Friday to be seen but as the clinic is overbooked I will be waiting. It's the day before we get married, I really need to be other places but I can't wait till August! After everything else that has cracked off I am writing the biggest complaint letter. Just so mad!

oh ffs, thats disgusting Nat, was it due to the doctors strike today? Id be fuming, thats the last thing you need before your big day! poxy nhs! really sorry hon xx

Yes. Apparently he wasn't going to strike but decided Monday that he would do after all. So they sent letters out with two days to go instead of calling people! Got the damn letter this afternoon! @JoshnEviesmum

@JoshnEviesmum @luvmy5 @Jazzie just thought I would let you guys know that Riley has now been referred to a surgeon at Great Ormond Street :-( the scan didn't show anything new except the kidney and both ureters are still dilated. The doctor said one other thing it may be is an extra valve in his willy which is causing urine to back up but he can't test for that and he wants to get advice from a specialist. Just waiting to hear from them now
