transitioning the car seat?

His car seat say's if he is over 20 pounds he can face forward. So i was thinking of switching it. He is 22 pounds. Anyone switched there lo's car seat yet? He will be 8 mo in a week

There has been research done recently that suggests keeping them facing backward longer is safer..

I'm in California... My state law says the child must be BOTH 30 pounds and 1 years old to face forward. Must be both!
