How much water?

Should a 1 year old be drinking? As of yesterday I took him completely off formula, and he's been getting 24oz of whole milk daily, and today I gave him 8oz of water to sip on whenever he wanted. He's drank 6oz of it already, but I'm just wondering how much I should be giving him daily? I don't want to over or under do it since it's so hot outside.

I would say have it always there on offer, they will know how much they want and need, especially if it is hot!

I usually fill my daughters sippy twice a day and its about 8oz. She usually drink all of one and about half of the 2nd one. She is 13months

@fate thank you! So I'm thinking since he almost weighs 24lbs then 10oz a day should be fine for him, plus the 24oz of whole milk.
