How much should I be pumping at 1 month?

  • No set amount. I was pumping about three to four ounces from each breast.
  • Do you plan on working?

Pump as much as you'd like. Just remember FIFO; first in, first out.
  • I'm going to class and possibly starting work if and when I can find a job but I'm only getting like an once and a half from each breast. But I don't have a really good pump. I have the medela swing pump...I got it with my first and wasn't very pump smart @captivated @caroline8_p

  • Very true ^^^
  • I had the same pump and was getting about 4oz each side everytime I pumped some times more but I stopped bfing at 1 month. The more you do it it should build more of a supply. I was pumping a few times a day to build a supply for going back to work before I decided to quit.
  • At one or two months I was getting 3oz or 4oz. But by 4 months I was pumping 8oz a boob :) my daughter made ten months yesterday & im still pumping about 5oz a boob but she barely wants to drink now
