It's officially a baby!

I laughed about the Pregly curse and all the repeat pregnancies, but I never imagined I would also succumb! After waiting weeks for insurance approval, we finally had our first prenatal and ultrasound last week. There's definitely a baby in there! :-) He or she was moving and squirming all around and has a strong heartbeat. I feel so relieved to "see" it with my own eyes. Yay baby!

@blessedtxmom tagging you because I mentioned our due dates in one of my other threads and hadn't gotten back to you yet. Looks like I'm due 2/12/13, so we're 1 day apart! ;-) Interested to see if this baby decides to show up on time. My son did NOT. Was your son "on time"?

My appt got canceled because my doctor had to take emergency medical leave, this was last week. So yesterday I called the office to see what was going on and they told me I need to find another doctor! so I called around and the soonest I could get in anywhere is 9/7. I'm so mad at his staff.. They could have handled everything better than they did.. I just hope that my doctor is ok...

@starlilly What?? That's awful! He's the only doctor in the practice? I can't believe no one can take you sooner. Was it your first prenatal?

At his office yes, altough he was training a girl.. No it wasn't my first, would have breen the thrid.. But I havent had blood work done. Just a pap and two ultrasounds. I'm so upset by all of it. I even told the new doctor all my problems, being high risk and still was told the 7th was the soonest.. If and when my doctor comes back, I'm going to tell him how his staff handle it.. They still haven't called to tell me anything. If I wouldn't have called monday I would still be in the dark. I love my doctor and hate that I have to see another one...

I'm so sorry, @starlilly it's so hard to find a doctor you love; I can imagine how bummed you must be. What makes your pregnancy high risk?
