need help
Today is the third day of my daughters fever. Yesterday I got her up from a nap and Her hands feet mouth and legs were purple. I called the doctor and she told me to get her to the er now. I took her to the er they didn't check her oxygen levels until after we had been there for an hour. They said they were fine they did a blood test, urine test and chest x rays. Everything came back normal so they are saying she has a virus. No one else has gotten sick and she has not had vomiting ns diarrhea. I don't think it is a virus her temp was 104.1. They gave her motrin and sent us home (4hours later). She had a fever again an hour later. I'm at a loss of what to do, I'm calling her doc when they open to see what she suggests. Anyone have any insight on what it could be or what I can do other than keep giving her motrin and watching her temp go up and down?

The 104.1 temp for a virus is perfectly normal. Once the temp goes away, don't be surprised if she gets a horrible rash all over...very common for a virus in infants & toddlers.
Also, many viruses are only infant & toddler age viruses, which could explain why no one else is sick. Same here, my 11 month old has it, but none of the other 9 family members.
And just for some reassurance, fevers are a good thing! It's the body's way of fighting infection. I don't give my kids anything for fever, unless they're absolutely miserable & need a break.
The best thing to do is get her to drink as many fluids as she will & don't worry about solids. Usually there's a loss of appetite so the body can put all energy toward fighting the infection instead of digestion.
Anyways, I hope some of this helps reassure you & I hope she gets better soon!
