Okay so my 2nd lo is due nov 23rd. I do plan on trying to bf again and I'm hopeful but I don't think it will work out. But I will try as long as I can. Anyways, when I eventually start formula at some point or another before she is a year, can I make an extra visit to wic that month to get checks for formula? Especially with the holidays right around the corner money will be tight enough as it is if I am to buy it (of course tho I will buy the formula over anything else). If I can't make the extra trip, should I say that I will both bf and ff? Ty in advance!

Yeah, you can make an extra appt.. they'll give you vouchers for until your next pick up.

You can make an extra appointment, but honestly if I was you I would tell them that u want to bf and ff, that way you will always have some formula for when u need it and you won't have to worry.

I agree with @BrookeNTony if you tell them you want to do both...that's what my neighbor did. They gave her some formula not alot but some to have in case.

True yet having a 13 mth old and going back to work at 4 weeks Pp as a director of a busy preschool takes a toll. That's why I quit last time bc I am so busy at my job I have to coordinate everybody's schedules and then my own.

I agree with hba you need to not be negative already about it. The more stress you put on yourself the less milk you will make..at least that's what I have noticed. Make sure you give yourself time to pump while at work, if you don't your supply will go quickly.

I'm already expecting that too happen. I'm one that doesn't see a problem with giving lo formula even tho bm is better. Just wanted to know if I could make an extra wic appt. Thanks all

Oh I understand and wasn't trying say bm or nothing if you get my drift. You gotta do what you gotta do for your kids. But yes you can make another apt with Wic or tell them you are doing both from the beginning.
