How long do you boil boneless chicken breasts to make something that requires fully cooked shredded chicken? I know I am awful I haven't cooked anything that requires it, but it's time to start! Tia!!
Buy a food thermometer. Theyre like 6-20 bucks at Walmart. Then you insert it into the thickest part of the meat to get a reading chicken is (I believe) 165 degrees F to be considered safe. As time goes on, you'll be able to tell by time, colour, look, and feel if the meat is done, but until then this is a great way to ensure its cooked properly.
No problem hun. They can be very useful. I'm good with chicken, steak and salmon, but for things I don't normally do, like pork, I always use it. I think I paid $12 for mine.
