My daughter just ate...

A rubber band... One of small hair rubber bands. She pulled it out of her hair and was chewing on it and when I went to get it from her mouth. She pushed it back with her tongue and gagged on it for a min.. before I could get it she swallowed it. Is she going to be ok?

    @blessedtxmom thank you! It just freaked me out at first because they are kinda hard and I had never heard of this happening. Lol she won't keep anything in her hair but her bangs and hair are long so I have to do something to keep it out of her eyes.. I don't really want to cut it but I might have to... :(

    My daugh5er is the same way and actually swallowed a little clip doing the same exact thing. I flipped out, but sure enough she pooped it out problem free. Lol no worries!

    @MrsStanley_x2 lol wow I would flip over the clip. The rubber band freaked me out. Did you end up cutting your daughters hair or just keep pulling it back? I really don't want to cut it but I can't have this happen all the time. I don't get it, I have been doing her hair since she was a week old and out of no where she started this... She should be use to it by now!

    Oh I straight panicked and kept checking her diaper constantly. Haha and I didn't cut it! Somedays I can trick her and put a little clip in real fast and we are good to go.... aaand somedays I use water (and a quick spurt of hair spray) and try and keep in behind her ears. That's how she was- the behavior came out of nowhere!

    Lol my daughter has hard stool so I'm wondering if ill even see it. What kind of hair spray do you use? I never thought to do that... It's seems like my daughters hair grows forward to her face and eyes!

    My lo is in the stage of pulling her hair out, we put up all the time. Some days she messes with it and others she doesn't. I just keep putting it up and telling her no.

    Mine too! My husband calls her "emo baby" when it's in her eyes. I just use a quick spurt of mine (suave in a pink can) and cover her eyes thoroughly. I don't go "toddlers and tiaras" on her so my ped said it was fine. Lol

    Oh no! I swallowed my earring whenvi was one, I pooped it out my mom washed it and taped it in my baby book Lmaoo.
