Newborn weight concern

My lo was 9lb 3oz at birth, today at her apt she's 8lbs 12oz, but upon discharge from the hospital she was 8lbs 7oz.

Should I be worried she's not back to her birth weight? I do NOT want to give her formula, and she is breastfed on demand. She has plenty of wet diapers, and a few poopy diapers a day, but none so far today.

I don't want the pedi to try to bully me into giving her formula either.

When babies are born they have extra fluid in them from being in you. Thats why they drop so much. Since your lo has gained a few ounces since discharge i wouldn't worry. Especially if your bf.

If wet diapers are good, keep on doing what you are doing. She'll pick up some weight soon.
